A Review: Freshii

Hi Friends!

Since university life has arrived once again, the possibility of trying to eat healthier is in the running for this term…or month…to say the least haha. I’m always opting to find a place where you can just a healthier variety, at a good price, and it’s also filling. Some places lack the ability to fill me up, I need something to keep me going throughout the few hours in between classes!

During this time, I had an evening class with a friend. We decided to buy something to eat before we headed for our class 5:30-8:00 PM. I’m not exaggerating on the time of the class either…fortunately it’s once a week. Once a week where I’m up, for what feels like a 12 hour day constantly walking and sitting in class.

Anyways, back to the review!

Scenery

Since it was empty during the time we went (around 3-4 PM), there was a lot of seating available. I really liked how open the seating arrangements were. Also, how there were closed off seating areas on the side (it can be somewhat since in the picture below, where the Freshii logo resides). It was also very clean inside as well, which is always a plus.

Service

We arrived during a time were it was quite quiet, therefore the service we received was rather quick. The bowls were assembled in less than three minutes I’d say? I know it was quick nonetheless.

Food

My friend and I choose the ‘Good Roots’ bowl containing: kale & brown rice, sweet potato, goat cheese, beet slaw, dried cranberries, green apple, pumpkin seeds, and balsamic vinaigrette (taken from the description from the Freshii website). I’ve only been to freshii maybe two or three times? My last food choice each of those previous times was the ‘Pangoa’ bowl containing: brown rice, avocado, aged cheddar, cherry tomatoes, black beans, corn, cilantro, lime wedge, fiery bbq sauce (see above link for more details). I definitely liked the ‘Good Roots’ bowl better, and this time I added some chicken for protein. It’s also really refreshing to see the colour combos of the added ingredients laid out on top.
