University Bound: Degrees Restaurant

Hi Friends!

If you’re a university student, you probably have a nearby restaurant that’s on campus that everyone seems to go to. Degrees restaurant for me, is one of them. Located inside the University Centre, on the third floor. The menu can be found here. I’ve been here a handful of times, probably more during my first years of university ahaha.

I guess onto the review?

Scenery:

The inside of the restaurant has changed a lot since I’ve been there. Then again, I did mention I have only been inside this location a handful of times. It’s looks quite modern inside now, and has more space than it did previously. There’s a lot of light exposure inside, with the large windows surrounding the restaurant. As an added plus, selfie game will be on point because of all that natural lighting? You also have a good view of the rest of campus from where you’re seated. There’s also numerous students who eat there alone, just to review or study. Therefore, you won’t feel out of place if you decide to go in here alone.

Service:

Many of the servers and workers that work here attend the University of Manitoba, the overall service reminds me of what you’d expect at a small family owned restaurant. They greet you, they sympathize with you since they are students themselves, and they’re nice. However, that’s what you’d want when going out to eat right?

Food:

The food items on the menu have changed a couple times, however, I do like the items that they have chosen now. There is definitely a variety of foods that will meet your individualized palettes. It looks like they’ve incorporated other cultural foods like Thai, East Indian, Italian and of course in a healthy variety.

Overall, I would recommend this place to a friend. Especially to those students who have a large time slot in between to kill some time. It’s definitely a busy place to be at, but it does die down a lot more during the rush..right around 4-5 pm?

What’s your nearby restaurants on campus?

Best.
