Hi Friends!
I decided to post up a quick DIY for a hair mask that my sister and I have been using lately. It’s a cheaper alternative to just purchasing one at the store, plus it’s simple to create! Down below is the version I’ve tried, plus photos/links to other hair masks that were easy to make, will be listed.
Enjoy!
Best.
DIY Hair Mask:
Coconut Honey Oil: The name says the main three ingredients…coconut, honey and oil. When it comes to portion size, it depends on the length of your hair. My hair is roughly half way down my back; therefore, I ended up using: 4 tbsp. of coconut oil, 4 tbsp. of olive oil, and 2 tbsp. honey. My sister has a hair length just past her shoulders, therefore she uses the same ingredients with half the amount.
As for directions, apply the mixture from the bottom up (you want to concentrate it on the ends, rather than the roots). Let it sit in your hair for about an hour or so, the longer you leave it in, the better it’ll be. So do some cleaning, read a book, do whatever…just keep it in your hair ahaha.
After the time has elapsed, shampoo and condition your hair as normal. Once your hair is dry, you will definitely feel and see a difference when it comes to the texture and overall smoothness of your hair.

Love this post.
I have natural (African america) hair, and I love trying DIY remedies for my hair.
I’ve tried avocado, egg, and coke.
I think I want to try the coconut honey olive oil mix the nest time I do a hair mask…
